Interceptor® Plus (milbemycin oxime/praziquantel) is the chewable tablet flavored with real chicken that prevents heartworm disease, and treats and controls adult hookworm*, roundworm*, whipworm* and tapeworm* infections in dogs. Interceptor Plus is safe for use in dogs and puppies 6 weeks of age or older and 2 pounds of body weight or greater.

Important Safety Information for Interceptor Plus
Treatment with fewer than 6 monthly doses after the last exposure to mosquitoes may not provide complete heartworm prevention. Prior to administration of Interceptor Plus, dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections. The safety of Interceptor Plus has not been evaluated in dogs used for breeding or in lactating females. The following adverse reactions have been reported in dogs after administration of milbemycin oxime or praziquantel, the active ingredients in Interceptor Plus: vomiting, diarrhea, depression/lethargy, incoordination, decreased appetite, convulsions, weakness, and salivation. Interceptor® (milbemycin oxime)® is the once-a-month tablet that prevents heartworm* disease, controls adult hookworms* and removes and controls adult roundworm* and whipworm* infections in dogs. And in cats, one monthly tablet prevents heartworm disease (D. immitis) and removes adult roundworms (T. cati) and hookworms (A. tubaeforme). Interceptor is safe for use in dogs and puppies 4 weeks of age or older and 2 pounds of body weight or greater, and for cats and kittens 6 weeks of age or older and 1.5 pounds of body weight or greater.

Important Safety Information for Interceptor
Dogs should be tested for heartworm prior to use. In a small percentage of treated dogs, digestive and neurologic side effects may occur. Cats should be tested for existing heartworm infection prior to use. Safety in heartworm-positive cats has not been established. Trifexis logo

Trifexis® (spinosad + milbemycin oxime) is the monthly, beef-flavored tablet that kills fleas and prevents flea infestations, prevents heartworm disease, and treats and controls adult hookworm*, roundworm and whipworm infections in dogs. Trifexis is safe for use in dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age or older and 5 pounds of body weight or greater.

Important Safety Information for Trifexis
Serious adverse reactions have been reported following concomitant extra-label use of ivermectin with spinosad alone, one of the components of Trifexis chewable tablets.

Treatment with fewer than three monthly doses after the last exposure to mosquitoes may not provide complete heartworm prevention. Prior to administration of Trifexis, dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infection. Use with caution in breeding females. The safe use of Trifexis in breeding males has not been evaluated. Use with caution in dogs with pre-existing epilepsy.

The most common adverse reactions reported are vomiting, depression/lethargy, itching, decreased appetite, and diarrhea. To ensure heartworm prevention, observe your dog for one hour after administration. If vomiting occurs within an hour of administration, redose with another full dose. Puppies less than 14 weeks of age may experience a higher rate of vomiting.

Comfortis logo

Comfortis® (spinosad) kills fleas and is indicated for the prevention and treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis) for one month. Comfortis is safe for use in dogs and puppies 14 weeks of age or older and 3.3 lbs of body weight or greater, and cats and kittens 14 weeks of age or older and 2 pounds of body weight or greater.

Important Safety Information for Comfortis
For cats: The most common adverse reaction recorded in clinical trials was vomiting. Other adverse reactions were: lethargy, decreased appetite, weight loss, and diarrhea. Use with caution with concomitant extra-label use of ivermectin.

The safe use of Comfortis in breeding, pregnant, or lactating cats has not been evaluated. See Comfortis label for complete safety information.

For dogs: The most common adverse reaction reported is vomiting. Other adverse reactions reported in decreasing order of frequency are: depression/lethargy, decreased appetite, incoordination, diarrhea, itching, trembling, excessive salivation and seizures. Following concomitant extra-label use of ivermectin with Comfortis, some dogs have experienced the following clinical signs: trembling/twitching, salivation/ drooling, seizures, incoordination, excessive dilation of pupils, blindness and disorientation. Post-approval experience continues to support the safety of Comfortis when used concurrently with heartworm preventatives according to label directions.

Use with caution in breeding females and dogs with pre-existing epilepsy. The safe use of Comfortis in breeding males has not been evaluated. See Comfortis label for complete safety information.
